June Wrap Up

I can't believe June is over, it went so fast! I've been out of school for at least a month now and I honestly thought time would drag on, but I was SO wrong! Well then again, the Holy Month of Ramadan is over so I have spent the majority of my time sleeping and when I've been awake... I've been reading and watching YouTube videos!

So what books did I buy this month?

Books I've bought this month.

Hard Copy.

  • Glass Sword - Victoria Aveyard Kings Cage - Victoria Aveyard A Study in Charlotte - Brittany Cavallaro The Bear and the Nightingale - Katherine Arden The Assassins Balde - Sarah J. Maas

E-copy (Kindle/iBooks)

  • A Darker Shade of Magic - V. E. Schwab Don't Stop Me Now - Colleen Coleman

Books I've read this month.

Don't Stop Me Now - Colleen Coleman (5/5 stars)

Genre: Women's Fiction, Fiction, Romance, Rom-Com

Review: First Impressions: Well for starters it was the name that caught my attention! I mean, everyone looks at the words “Don’t Stop Me Now” and then starts singing Queen! (If you don’t then, please start :D) Next thing you know I had the song stuck in my head the whole time (ahahaha) but also because the song is constantly referenced in the book! Another thing that caught my eye was the actual book cover! The yellow pastel background with bright coloured elements made me feel giddy and happy!

Divergent (Divergent #1) - Veronica Roth (4/5 Stars)

Genre: Young Adult, Science Fiction, Dystopia, Fiction, Fantasy

Review: So this book has been out for a few years and I only got the book a few weeks back! However, I have watched all the movies and I thought they were okay. People who have read the books said that the movie is nothing like the books so I thought why not read the books. Everyone knows the books are better than the movies. So I already went into this series basically knowing what well happen at the end of each book.

So I just finished Divergent and I’m really happy I read it! But I would like to get something out in the open first, I don’t hate Tris but I also don’t like her either. Some of the things she said made me think “what the heck are you saying/thinking?”

Insurgent (Divergent #2) - Veronica Roth (3/5 stars)

Genre: Young Adult, Science Fiction, Dystopia, Fiction, Fantasy

Death Note (vol 1-5) - Tsugumi Ohba, Takeshi Obata (5/5 apples so far)

Genre: Fiction, Mystery, Psychological, Detective (FYI, it's a Manga)

Review: I still have another 7 volumes to get through for a full review of the series, but so far I am loving it and it deserves 5 apples! ahaha

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Glass Sword - Victoria Aveyard (3/5 stars)

Genre: Fantasy, Young Adult, Dystopia, Romance, Fiction
